    Accessibility Policy

Mindfully Healthy Living ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to making our website and content accessible to as many people as possible. Our goal is for every visitor to comfortably read our recipes, learn from our holistic nutrition articles, and use our tools and resources, regardless of ability, device, or technology.

We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which describe how to make web content more usable and accessible for people with a wide range of visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences.

What We Are Doing to Support Accessibility

We are working to make Mindfully Healthy Living an accessible, healthy-eating and wellness website by:

    • Using clear, easy-to-read fonts and maintaining strong color contrast where possible.
    • Structuring pages with proper headings to support screen readers and keyboard navigation.
    • Adding meaningful, descriptive alt text to images whenever possible, especially on recipes and step-by-step content.
    • Using descriptive link text so users understand what will happen when they follow a link.
    • Designing pages to work on current versions of major browsers and devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
    • Avoid fast-flashing content or animations that may trigger discomfort or seizures.
    • Periodically reviewing new content and templates with accessibility in mind.

    Accessibility Standards & Technical Information

We are working toward conforming to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and are the current standard for web accessibility.

Mindfully Healthy Living is built on WordPress using the Feast theme and various plugins. These tools provide the underlying code and structure for our recipes, articles, and pages. We aim to configure and use them in ways that support accessible markup, headings, and navigation.

    Browser & Device Compatibility

Mindfully Healthy Living is intended to work with modern browsers and operating systems, including current versions of:

    • Google Chrome
    • Mozilla Firefox
    • Apple Safari
    • Microsoft Edge

Some older browsers, outdated operating systems, or unsupported devices may not display all features as intended.

    Third-Party Services

Our website uses third-party services and embedded content, including:

    • Advertising providers
    • Analytics tools
    • Email and newsletter services
    • Video and social media embeds

Because these services are not fully under our control, they may not always meet the same level of accessibility we strive for on our own pages. We do our best to select reputable tools and to configure them in ways that support accessibility whenever possible.

If You Need Help or Find an Issue

If you experience difficulty using any part of our site, need content in a different format, or notice a specific accessibility issue, please contact us so we can help.

    You can reach us at:

    Email: natalie.mhliving@gmail.com

    Please include:

    • The page URL where you had the problem
    • A brief description of the issue
    • Any assistive technology, browser, or device you are using

We will review your message and do our best to respond within 48 hours. When possible, we will provide an accessible alternative or make a fix as quickly as we can.

    Our Commitment to Inclusive Access

Our mission at Mindfully Healthy Living is to support families in making healthier choices with real, whole foods and practical wellness tools. That mission includes making our recipes, nutrition guides, and educational content as accessible and inclusive as we can.

We will continue to review this policy and our website on a regular basis, especially when we change themes, add new features, or publish major updates. As we improve, we may update this page to reflect the steps we are taking.

Thank you for visiting Mindfully Healthy Living and for helping us create a more accessible, user-friendly experience for everyone.
